It is in your hands to create a better world for all who live in it
Nelson Mandela
The early medical supply work of Handclasp was about volunteers, about people who gave their time to prepare medicines and medical supplies to ship to over 40 countries. This story is about the nurses, doctors, and yes, patients who were helped by the life-giving supplies that were provided by Handclasp between 1970 and 1988.
Each of the volunteers, nurses, doctors and patients have stories and in these pages we will attempt to share them.
.. how the founders, Maury and Lois Henrich used the talents God gave them to find ways to ship millions of dollars and medicine, medical supplies, vitamins and hospital beds all over the world!
… how the work of Handclasp moved to using media to educate and improve quality of life.
These are stories of lives changed, of love, care and sacrifice of the Handclasp volunteers!

1977-81: Expansion of Handclasp
With the shift from medical supplies to media and education new stories emerge with the involvement of Dan Henrich (Maury and Lois’s second son) and wife Christine. This move to media and training would also include the stories of Caren (45), Samuel (43), Michael (37) and Andrew (34) all of whom accompanied Dan & Chris when younger. The stories of the four Henrich children are still being written with their families.
